Pictures draw out different emotions in various people, and these emotions are made known with the right choice of words. A picture is worth a thousand words coming from a myriad of emotions from the viewer. Each picture is a unique visual experience to each individual. It is my hope that you will take pleasure in this visual communication as you look at and through the images in this site.

About me

My name is Ian Francisco and I live in the beautiful country of the Philippines, in a scenic place east of the city of Manila called Morong, Rizal.

Deepcut is my online space for digital photos. It's my visual playground as I see things in my camera. My profession has little to do with photography, so I am a regular photography enthusiast, who takes photographs (not shoot) for the absolute delight of it. My interest in photography originated as a need to take photographs of orthopaedic cases during my medical and surgical training. I started to become more aware of taking photographs that convey the accurate picture of various orthopaedic conditions. Since then, I have been taking photographs not only for documentation purposes but more creatively, for artistic expression. As an orthopaedic and trauma surgeon, photography turns out to be a pleasant diversion from the daily drudgery of hospital and clinical work. I get pleasure from every opportunity to take photos.

I take photographs of various subjects and I will post new photos regularly. I especially enjoy nature photography. In the HOME page, you can click open the IMAGE INFO tab for some details of the photo. There is a LIGHT SWITCH in the upper right hand area which you can click for a darker or lighter background. You can also use the SOLO IT button located at the end of the image title to view the image without the distraction of the page elements. The PHOTOSTRIP tab allows you to view a continuous strip of thumbnails you can jump to. Please tell me what you think in the COMMENT FORM tab. In the COLLECTION page you can view all the images by category. The AUTOPLAY treats you to site's entire image collection in stunning slideshow, all viewable in higher resolution full screen! Finally, I have a GALLERY page containing albums of my favorite photos.
